Just let me do this for you

This scene was particularly strong for me, especially considering the mirror or Pearl. I feel while Pearl cares for Steven, its because Rose Quartz is part of him. You can tell by "Why won't you just let me do this for you Rose!" whereas Lapis Lazuli is actually doing this for Steven, her only friend. She's giving up her freedom, the thing she held dearest to her, for the safety of her friend's happiness (and by relation, his planet). I think that it really defines Lapis' character, she seems very selfish for wanting to go home, but she was trapped on Earth for who knows how long, and now she has arrived back again, endangering her only friend.
